Thanks for the quick response.
I have read the licensing pages before and found out that I need no server side installation of any CR software besides the .NET project modules.
Is this correct?
Used software versions in existing application:
- The RPT files have been created using crystal reports developer 8.5
- The server side component is crystal reports server 8
- Application is in "classic" ASP
The migration project is in planning.
- We have to decide which MS Development Studio could be used.
- Database is MS SQL 2008
- OS: Windows 2008 with IIS7
Some questions I have:
- Is it possible, to migrate the existing.RPT.Files to a .NET Project to be used in a web application creating PDF files "on the fly" to display it directly in the browser?
- Which MS Devolpment Studio version is the best for this project.?
- Could I edit (import) the existing .RPT-files into the SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio?
- Which runtime components have to be installed on the IIS-Server?
Regards
