Ok you should stick to the variant where you get the class not found.
Did you exposed the package com.customer.wec.app.common.module.catalog.backend.impl.mdm.ext.interf. from your catalog/bo in the "assembly" part of it(Public parts tab of your extended catalog/bo)?
